Program Coordinator

Goal of the Project: To support the efforts of Impact Spartanburg, a community group addressing the misuse and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs through individual and environmental-level strategies. The VISTA will support the strategic action plan developed in adherence to the guidelines established by the Drug Free Communities grant including, but not limited to, capacity building, enhance the website and social media platforms, conduct a county-wide needs assessment, and help develop sustainable student clubs in local high schools.
Skills Needed: Strong communication skills, writing/editing, public speaking, basic computer / technology proficiency, leadership, program development, community organization, social media, volunteer recruitment and management.
Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree. Fluent in written and spoken English. Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field. Previous experience developing programs. Passion for increasing access to care among veterans and military members. Strong collaborative and public speaking skills.
