Program Planning Coordinator

Goal of the Project: KNOW(2) of Cherokee County is a grassroots, community-based organization that seeks to engage all citizens of Cherokee County to improve quality of life. You will work with a small but dynamic team to build coalitions between nonprofits, government entities, businesses, educational institutions, and individuals. You will improve services offered to low-income individuals, specifically around STEM education, by recruiting and training volunteer mentors. You will also work with the Talk to Me and Neighborhood Ambassador programs, evaluating and enhancing services. Your work will also involve expanding current Junior Achievement participation. You will recruit and work with an advisory panel to coordinate the Veterans Impact Project, improving services offered and integrating veterans and their families into the community.
Skills Needed: Marketing, social media, data collection / analysis, strong communication skills, writing/editing, public speaking, proficiency in computers / technology, leadership, program development, research skills, youth development, public health.
Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must display initiative. Punctual. Demonstrated creativity. Ability to establish working relationships with people of all ages.
Preferred Qualifications: Social media proficiency. Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities. Ability to meet deadlines while anticipating quickly changing needs. Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
