Program Assistant

Population served: Low-income residents in the Northside community

Goal of the Project: Northside Development Group works in the Northside neighborhood of Spartanburg, SC to transform this highly distressed neighborhood into a world-class community of choice. You will help improve the financial stability and health of the Northside residents by matching needs of low income residents to community resources. You will also be developing programming for financial stability and family self-sufficiency, supporting case management programs, and assist in creating a cohesive neighborhood alliance.
Skills Needed: Strong communication skills, writing/editing, public speaking, community organizing, proficiency in computers / technology, leadership, program development, marketing, social media, volunteer recruitment and management.
Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Fluent in written and spoken English. Ability to learn case management software. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple projects simultaneously. Basic research skills. Leadership ability.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Bilingual in Spanish. Experience organizing events.
