Population served: Military service members and veterans in Upstate SC

Goal of the Project: Upstate Warrior Solution offers a network of veterans support services across the five counties of Upstate South Carolina. As our VISTA, you will work in Spartanburg County to design and implement a communications and outreach strategy in order to better identify, connect with, and build relationships with the veteran population.
Skills Needed: Strong communication skills, writing/editing, public speaking, basic computer / technology proficiency, leadership, program development, community organization, social media, volunteer recruitment and management.
Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree. Fluent in written and spoken English. Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field. Previous experience developing programs. Passion for increasing access to care among veterans and military members. Strong collaborative and public speaking skills.
